How Jes & Jason Started Vana Care
Jes had spent years in the care industry watching families carry too much on their own. Jason came from fitness, where progress is built through trust, encouragement and showing up again and again. When they put those worlds together, Vana Care became a simple promise: support should feel personal, steady and matched to the life someone actually wants to live.
Jes brings care-sector experience and a focus on matching support to the person, not just a checklist of qualifications.
Jason brings a background in fitness and a focus on consistent, person-centred support for South Australians.
Our Story
Vana Care began with a lot of honest conversations about what good support should feel like. Jes knew how much difference the right care team could make in everyday life. Jason knew how powerful routine, confidence and a good match could be when someone was trying to move forward. Together, they saw a chance to build a provider that was warm, practical and deeply human.
Why We Do What We Do
That is still how we work today. We believe support works best when it reflects a person's real interests, not just the goals listed in their NDIS plan. Whether someone is into coastal fishing, esports marathons, gym sessions or tasting every new food truck in Adelaide, those interests can inform matching alongside needs, risks, location, schedule and suitable worker availability.
Who We Are Today
Vana Care accepts enquiries for three core services, with availability confirmed for each request:
In-home support
Personal care, meals and agreed household support, subject to service fit and worker availability.
Community access
Agreed outings planned around goals, funding, safety and practical arrangements.
Supported Independent Living
SIL enquiries assessed against household, funding, support needs, risks and roster capacity.
Before services start, the team reviews the participant's goals, funding, support needs, risks, location and available workers, then records the agreed arrangement in a service agreement and support plan.
