SIL is for people with disability who want to live more independently but need some level of ongoing support at home. It's your home, your rules. We just help make it work.

In-home support is usually a few hours at a time for specific tasks. SIL is more ongoing, often 24/7 or regular daily support, designed for people who need consistent help to live independently.

SIL funding is usually included in your plan if the NDIA determines you need ongoing support to live independently. If you're not sure, we can help you understand your plan or prepare for a plan review.

Yes. SIL is about living in the home you choose. Whether that's a share house, your own apartment, or a family home, we provide the support wherever you are.
