In-Home Support Guides and Resources
Practical guides to help you understand and get the most from NDIS in-home support services in Adelaide.
What in-home support workers can help with
In-home support covers the everyday tasks that keep life running smoothly: personal care like showering and grooming, household tasks like cleaning and laundry, meal preparation, medication prompts and health routines. It can also include skill building, where your support worker helps you learn to do more of these things yourself over time.
Meal preparation and the NDIS
Support workers can plan meals with you, shop with you, cook alongside you and help with food safety. The goal is not just a full fridge. Cooking together builds skills and confidence, and meals end up matching what you actually like to eat.
Building independent living skills
Good in-home support has a direction: more independence. That might mean learning to manage a weekly budget, run your own laundry routine, or cook three reliable dinners. We set small goals with you, practise them in your own home, and adjust as your confidence grows. If your longer-term goal is living more independently, our Supported Independent Living service may be the next step.
What in-home support costs
In-home support is billed by the hour within the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits. Rates differ for weekday daytime, evening, overnight, Saturday, Sunday and public holiday support. Our quote builder uses the current South Australian limits so you can see realistic numbers for your schedule before you commit to anything.
Choosing a provider you can rely on
Consistency matters more at home than anywhere else. Ask any provider how they handle worker matching, what happens when your regular worker is away, and how quickly they respond to schedule changes. Read what Adelaide families say about us and see the areas we cover.
