Not sure how community access works, or looking for something to try? These guides cover activities, funding, transport and finding a support worker in Adelaide.
Start with what you enjoy. You might want to talk about a gym session, swimming, art or music, a football game, fishing or a walk at Henley Beach or Christies Beach, library programs, markets, volunteering or a social group. You could also discuss time outdoors, such as a trail at Morialta near Rostrevor or open spaces across the Adelaide Hills.
Agreed community access support may use your plan's Assistance with Social and Community Participation funding. We'll need to check your plan, available funding and the support involved. Activity tickets and other costs need to be discussed too. Our quote builder shows you the current South Australian price limits for the hours you have in mind. Prices vary with the day and time of support.
A group program might have an activity and timetable you like. If you'd prefer one-on-one support, talk to us about it. We'll start with what you enjoy, then work through the support, funding, transport and suitable workers.
Talk to us about how you'll get there and home. Depending on your needs and the agreed arrangement, that could involve public transport, a suitable vehicle or meeting at the venue. We'll check accessibility, safety and any transport costs before the outing.
Pick something you enjoy or would like to try, then talk about the support and timing that would work for you. You can review the arrangement as your needs, goals or funding change. Read about how our community access service works, see what our clients say, or build a quote to talk through your options.
